Esports Betting at kfb — Choose Your Markets in Competitive Gaming
Bet on CS2, Dota 2, Valorant, League of Legends and other major esports tournaments. Pre-match and live markets — all in one platform.
How Esports Betting Works
Betting on competitive video gaming has become just as familiar as cricket or football betting.
In esports betting, you predict which of two teams (or players) will win a match. Each bet comes with odds set by the bookmaker. If your bet is correct, you receive a return based on those odds; if not, you lose your stake.
An esports match is usually divided into multiple maps or rounds. In CS2, for example, a series can be "Bo3" (best of three), where the first team to win two maps takes the series. On kfb's esports section, you can bet both before a match starts and while it is in progress.
Esports tournaments run all year round — events such as ESL, BLAST, The International and VCT are available in kfb's markets. This makes the esports betting section particularly appealing to those who enjoy watching gaming.
Betting is a form of entertainment — enjoy it within your own budget. For more information, read the responsible gaming page.
Popular Esports Markets
Each market has a different type of bet — below are six common markets with examples.
Match Winner
The simplest market — pick whether Team A or Team B will win the match. Bet on one of two options: Team A wins or Team B wins.
Win on a Specific Map
Bet on who wins a specific map rather than the overall series. In CS2 or Dota 2, for example, a market might be: Team A wins map two.
Total Number of Maps
Bet on whether a Bo3 series will go to 2 or 3 maps. If the series ends 2-0, over loses; if it ends 2-1, over wins.
Map Handicap Bet
A virtual advantage is given to the weaker team to balance the market. If Team B is given +1.5 maps, your bet wins even if they lose 0-2.
First Blood / First Kill
Bet on a specific event within a match — such as which team gets the first kill or wins the first round. This is especially popular in live betting.
Tournament Champion
A long-term bet on which team will win the championship before the tournament begins. Odds are generally higher because the outcome is much harder to predict.
Odds in Three Formats — Explained with Examples
In esports betting, the same odds are written in three different ways. All three give the same return — only the way they are expressed differs.
| Format | Team A (Underdog) | Team B (Favourite) | How to Read |
|---|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.50 | 1.25 | Bet × Odds = Total Return |
| Fractional | 3/2 | 1/4 | Profit / Stake ratio |
| American | +150 | -400 | + means profit, − means amount required |
Example 1 — Underdog Bet
Team A to win — Stake ৳500
Decimal 2.50 = Fractional 3/2 = American +150
If you win, total return is ৳1,250 (৳750 profit + ৳500 stake back). If you lose, ৳500 is gone.
Example 2 — Favourite Bet
Team B looks likely to win — their odds: Decimal 1.25 = Fractional 1/4 = American −400.
With a ৳500 stake, if you win the total return is ৳625 (৳125 profit). In American format, −400 means you need to bet ৳400 to profit ৳100.
Because the favourite's odds are lower, the return is also lower — risk and reward are proportional.
Which Format Should You Choose?
You can select any format from the settings on the kfb platform. Most bettors in Bangladesh prefer decimal — the calculation is simple: Bet × Odds = Total Return.
Do not be put off by the minus sign in American format — it simply means that team is the favourite and the odds are lower.
Pre-Match vs Live Betting
There are two main ways to bet on esports — each with its own advantages and challenges.
Pre-Match Betting
Place your bet before the match starts
- Odds are generally stable — they change less
- You have time to consider team form, tournament standings and gameplay before deciding
- Major tournament matches have more pre-match markets available
- A good starting point for new bettors
Live Betting
Bet in real time while the match is in progress
- Odds change every moment — based on how the game is going
- You can watch the result of the first map and then bet on the next
- Markets for small moments like first kill or round winner are available
- Quick decisions are needed, so experience helps
Which is right for you?
If you are new to esports, it is better to start with pre-match betting. Betting on games and teams you already know makes it easier to decide.
With live betting you can bet while watching a match — but because odds change fast, you need focus and speed. On kfb, a confirmation appears immediately after you place a live bet.
Both methods are a form of entertainment — outcomes cannot always be predicted.
Practical Tips and Common Mistakes
Some straightforward advice for both new and experienced bettors — to keep betting under control at all times.
Useful Tips
-
Bet on games you know
Good at CS2? Betting on matches in that game makes it easier to understand the markets. -
Set your budget first
Decide how much you will spend in each session before you start, and do not go beyond that. -
Focus on one market
It is easier to do well in one familiar market than to spread your bets across many markets at once. -
Check match history
Looking at the previous head-to-head results, tournament level and recent performance of both teams makes it easier to decide.
Common Mistakes
-
Placing large bets to chase losses
Placing a big bet after a loss to recover is dangerous — it is a sign of losing control of your betting. -
Betting on unfamiliar games
Betting on a game you do not know just because the odds look good increases the chance of making the wrong call. -
Emotional decisions in live betting
Placing a rushed bet in the heat of the moment during a match often leads to a poor outcome. -
Using a bonus without reading the terms
Understand the wagering requirements before claiming a bonus — all the details are on the terms and conditions page.

Which Games Can You Bet On?
Betting markets are available for various competitive games at kfb.
From first-person shooters to strategy games
Round-based betting on FPS games like CS2 and Valorant is very popular. Each round brings a change in team strategy, so live markets shift quickly too. MOBA games like Dota 2 and League of Legends, on the other hand, have matches lasting 40–60 minutes — pre-match betting is more common there.
You can see in the markets whether teams like Royal Never Give Up, Team Spirit or any other familiar side are playing. Keep in mind though, upsets are very common in esports — even a favourite can lose on any given day.
It is better not to bet on a game whose rules you do not know. If a game is new to you, watch some matches first, then start betting.
